B-Tech and B-Arch Courses

B-Tech and B-Arch- The admission of these two courses will be based on the exam “Engineering, Architecture, Medical and Pharmacy exam” conducted by CEE, Kerala. Hence to gain admission to the courses mentioned above, one must have a valid score in the above-mentioned examination.

If a candidate has a legit score in NATA, then he or she is also eligible to apply to the b-Arch course of the University.

Here it should be noted that admission to any course at the undergraduate level will be solely based on merit. The merit score will be calculated based on the result of class 12 examination of the candidate.

BFA BPA & BPED Courses

However, the above criteria are not applicable for the BFA, BPA and B.P.Ed courses at the undergraduate level. For admission to these courses at the University of Kerala, one must appear for the entrance examination meant for the course which will be followed by a test on aptitude. The aptitude test will be replaced by the Physical Proficiency test in case of the B.P.Ed course.

  • The selection of students in Government colleges shall be governed by the rules prescribed by the University/ Kerala State Government from time to time
  • A pass in Plus Two/ Higher Secondary Examination/Vocational Higher Secondary Examination of the Government of Kerala or an Examination accepted by the Academic Council of the university as equivalent thereto”.

Bachelor of Vocational Courses

1.Software Development

The eligibility for Vocational courses and reservation of seats for B Voc Software Development shall be according to Kerala University rules. No students shall be eligible for admission to B Voc Software Development unless he/she has completed the qualifying examination at the +2 level of schooling or its equivalent in science streams.  Students who passed Vocational Higher Secondary course will be provided with an additional weight age of 25 marks in admission.

2.Tourism and Hospitality Management.

The admission for B Voc Tourism and Hospitality management will be in accordance with the university rules. No student shall be admitted to the course unless the applicant has passed the plus 2 examinations of Kerala Secondary Education Boards or equivalent examination recognized by the university with not less 45% marks in aggregate. The students who have studied the Vocational Higher Secondary course in Plus Two will be given a weight age of 25 marks for admission.

3.First Degree Programs  under the Faculty of Arts

7. Career-Oriented  Degree Programs  under faculty of Fine Arts

BPA (Vocal, Veena, Violin, Mridangam & Dance )A Pass in Plus Two the state/Equivalent Examination from other state or central boards accepted by the Kerala University as equivalent thereto /Students who have passed the Second year Ganabhooshanam examination are also eligible to apply for I BPA Course.The selection of students will be on the basis of an aptitude test, Students who have passed Pre- degree/Plus two with Music as one of their optional subjects and those who have passed the second year of Canabhooshanam will be given a weight age of 25 marks for selection for admission to BPA.

Note:-1. The applicants are required to apply directly to the Colleges concerned for admission to first year BPA programs.

Exam Updates :  Kerala University Exam Time Table 2023

The University of Kerala has released the degree examination time table on its official website on 11/05/2023. Modified exam dates are given below.

  • Fifth & Sixth semester UG exams will start on May 29, 2023
  • CBCSS sixth semester exams will start on May 24 2023
  • Distance Education exams will start on May 267, 2023
  • Tenth Semester exam of 5 year LLB course will start on June 18, 2023
  • The sixth Semester of 3 Year LLB Course will start on June 19, 2023

All the students appearing for the examination will be given an option to select the sub-centres to solve the problem in commuting.

Kerala University Started Registration for UG Admission for 2023

Kerala University has started the admission for Undergraduate courses for the academic year 2023 The UG registration process has begun on  22nd July 2023 and will end on August 13, 2023 on the official website of the University.

The first allotment list for the Government colleges, self-financing colleges, aided colleges, and University centers will be released on August 19, 2023. The students from the first list of allotments have to remit the University free for the confirmation of seat between 19/8/2023 to 23/8/2023 The fees will be accepted only through online mode.

The second list of successful candidates is expected to be released on 24/8/2023, and the successful candidates from the second list will be required to remit the admission fee between 24/8/2023 to 04/9/2023. The fees will be accepted only through online mode.

Due to the Kovid situation and lockdown in different parts of the State, the University has not taken any decision regarding the commencement of classes and date of joining for the academic session 2023-2024
