The Madras University has decided to allow undergraduate and postgraduate students of all streams who have completed their course before April 2019 and still have areas despite completing their academic programs. Now, The University has decided to permit them to write the arrear examination despite having areas.

The opportunity to clear the arrear exam is extended to all undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including part-time courses. The arrear examination rules apply to both University department students, distance education students and students from colleges affiliated to the University.

Application form for diploma, post graduate diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate arrear exams are to be submitted online only. The University does not accept manual applications for arrear exams. Application submitted online beyond the prescribed date will not be entertained and will not be considered.
